The Declutter Institute

ABOUT ME

Hello There,

I'm Toni and Welcome to the Declutter Institute

I started this business in the midst of a corporate banking career.  When I left to pursue a passion for home organization and decluttering, it was one of those sliding doors moments.

I have never looked back.

Ever since I was small, I have played with environments, moved furniture, changed colours, removed ‘obstacles’  solely to improve a space that was not ‘working’.

Later on as an adult, I realised my brain works best when things are simplified, where efficiency is embraced and this starts with the environments we live and work in.

I can see another persons space and quickly assess what is needed to make it work in harmony with the individuals who live and work there.

A love for Feng Shui, energetic balance and a less-is-more approach are my key ingredients  to decluttering and simplifying a space.

I have successfully paired this passion with mentoring clients who are seeking to start, grow or up level their current Decluttering and Home Organization Business.

Alongside this, I am a mother and a fledgling pilates devotee.

Can You Make Money Organizing and Decluttering Peoples Spaces?

When I left my corporate role, I had 2 big questions.

  1. Would there be enough work /clients requiring Decluttering and Home Organization?
  2. Would I make enough money to replace (and hopefully exceed) my corporate income?

The answer to both questions was Yes.

I’ve never been short of clients and I’ve also well surpassed my corporate income.

But I did do things differently.

I added more knowledge and skills to my tool kit.

I educated myself on doing more for a space than your average home organizer.

I read countless books on clearing spaces, balancing energies within spaces, minimising and simplifying spaces, how to enjoy spaces.

As a mother, I naturally moved towards low-tox spaces (the use of natural products over heavily created/chemical ones).

Less plastic. More spaciousness, and alignment with circadian rhythms. eg. avoiding brighter lights in the evening, embracing natural light and grounding oneself in the morning.

I tell my clients to always maintain their curiosity because the impact they have will be in direct proportion to what they bring to their clients doors.

This work changes lives. It impacts spaces that cocoon individuals and families. It will always be relevant and required. It changes individuals, couples and families lives forever.
